Recruitment Webinars

MSF Canada invites all prospective medical and non-medical aid workers to participate in one of its recruitment information sessions being held regularly throughout Canada. This in order for individuals to learn more about how they can become part of the Médecins Sans Frontières/Doctors Without Borders (MSF) field worker team. A Human Resources Officer is on hand to discuss requirements and the recruitment process. A MSF fieldworker is also present to share firsthand field experience with participants. Sessions close with a general question and answer period.

Online webinars

Our recruitment online seminars, presented by MSF employees and fieldworkers, try to answer your questions about the MSF recruitment process. These webinars are live and interactive. Throughout the presentation, participants are invited to chat ‘live’ with MSF speakers from the comfort of their own homes.

Technical instructions for Webinars

To view a Webinar you need a computer with a steady broadband internet connection and a current web browser (such as Internet Explorer, Firefox, Safari, etc.). Your browser will need to have Flash enabled and updated (present on most current browsers, but available for free here at http://www.adobe.com/products/flashplayer/).

Participants who only wish to watch and listen to the webinar can do so without registering. Simply go to http://www.ustream.tv/channel/msf-canada-webinars a few minutes before the start of the next Webinar.

Participants who wish to submit questions during the webinar (via a simple text chat box) have to register on the Ustream website in advance:

• Visit http://www.ustream.tv/channel/msf-canada-webinars in advance of the scheduled webinar time. On the top of the page (at right) you see the two options: "Login" or "Sign-up"
• If you already have a Ustream account, then you can use the "Login" option and enter your  existing username and password.
• If you don’t have a Ustream account, then you need to sign in, create a username & password, and verify your account via your email address.
• Wait for the webinar to start, and watch the chat room for instructions or prompts from the moderator before submitting your questions.
