Time To Act

MSF is an organization that takes action: In 2010 our staff treated millions of patients in close to 65 countries around the world.

As a global movement, we rely on the commitment and actions of people all over the world. Nearly 90% of our international funds come from individual donors like you.

It's time to act with us!

Your support guarantees our independence.

Haiti - Cholera, Another Emergency

Since cholera began to spread in Haiti, MSF has treated more than 18,000 patients in 27 Cholera Treatment Centers (CTCs) throughout the country and is anticipating treating many more in the coming days.

HIV/AIDS - Simplifying Patient Care

As the number of people with HIV continue to grow in the developing world, MSF is working to meet the needs by simplifying treatment and patient care while maintaining a high quality. See how MSF is managing care at its Blue House clinic in the Mathare area of Nairobi, Kenya.

Generic Drugs - Hands Off Our Medicine!

With the "Hands off Our Medicine" campaign, MSF is attempting to counteract policies that could restrict access to generic medicines in the developing world, medicines that are crucial to MSF's work and the short- and long-term health of patients.

Afghanistan - Healthcare in Helmand province

Photojournalist Ton Koene traveled to Helmand Province, Afghanistan, in June 2010 to visit the MSF project in the capital, Lashkargah. Intense conflict in the province has left around one million people without access to the health care they need. Here, Koene documents how each member of the MSF team there is working to save lives and provide free medical care in Lashkargah.

Gaza - Healthcare System Crippled By The Embargo

Health care workers have been on strike since August 30 2008, following Hamas' firing on medical workers, resulting in a reduction of 50-80% of medical services, including the suspension of specialized surgeries and external referrals.

Haiti - Water and sanitation, an essential role to fulfill

In the Cité Soleil area of Port-au-Prince, MSF distributes 300,000 liters of water every day to more than 15,000 people. Here, MSF water and sanitation specialist Katelijne Van Eyck conducts much-needed water testing.

Haiti - Spreading the word on prevention

An MSF team of a Haitian health promoter and an international staff psychologist travel to different areas in the Artibonite region to promote MSF's cholera treatment services and inform the public on how to prevent getting the disease.
