Thank you for your interest in MSF. MSF Canada only accepts applications from Canadian residents (Canadian citizens and permanent residents) physically residing in Canada. If you do not reside in Canada, please refer to other countries' national MSF web sites to locate the nearest office to which you can apply.

Candidates whose qualifications best meet the organization's needs will be invited to a face-to-face interview with a Human Resources Officer. Once a candidate is accepted, they will be placed in a general pool of fieldworkers and the Human Resources Officer will begin looking for a suitable placement based on the candidate’s profile and on vacancies in the field.

If you do not meet MSF's requirements outlined here but would still like to work or volunteer overseas, the Canadian Council for International Cooperation [CCIC] is useful for identifying other agencies which you may be better suited for. The book The Big Guide to Living and Working Overseas by Jean-Marc Hachey is also an excellent source of information about international work and personal preparation for overseas assignment.
