Abana
Des enfants rwandais séropositifs partagent leurs histoires
[Translate to Français:] Staff photographer Julie Rémy traveled to Rwanda in 2007 to spend 3 weeks with some of MSF's patients in the capital city, Kigali, many of whom were conceived of rape during the country's violent history. What she discovered were young people with amazing depth and maturity, as they live with their HIV status and cope with the psychosocial impacts of adolescence.
"Abana" means "children" in the kinyarwanda language. These are their stories, told in their own words, and drawn with their own hands.
