Since the escalation of political violence in Egypt in late June, the Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF) team in Cairo has been in close and regular contact with the main public and private healthcare facilities throughout Cairo and other affected areas of the country. The team has provided medical supplies and equipment to health facilities on both sides of the clashes.

Turkmenistan’s outward show of health and prosperity to the international community is masking a dangerous public health situation as the existence of infectious disease is denied, medical data is systemically manipulated and international standards and protocols are rarely applied in practice according to the experience of the international medical humanitarian organization, Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF) as detailed in a new report published this week.
