BRUCE LAMPARD

Board Member 2009-2012, Vice President 2009-2010, President 2011

Bruce Lampard is an emergency physician working in Iqaluit, Nunavut. Since 2001, he has worked with MSF in South Sudan, Nigeria, Afghanistan, Democratic Republic of Congo, Chad, Central African Republic and Somalia.

MARK CRESSWELL

Vice-President 2011-2013

Mark Cresswell joined MSF in 1999 as an anesthetist working in Sri Lanka before returning to London, UK to specialize as a radiologist. During that time he participated in various MSF UK committees and working groups until he was elected member of the Board of MSF UK in 2005, when MSF OCA was formed. He moved to Canada a few years ago, and now lives in Vancouver, BC.

MARIA CELLUCCI

Board Member, Treasurer 2010-2013

Maria Cellucci is a Chartered Accountant and a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Ontario. She has worked as a Director of Finance in both profit and not for profit organizations. Maria is active in the community and has also volunteered her time with other organizations.

LUKE SHANKLAND

Secretary 2009-2012

Luke Shankland holds an International MBA specializing in finance and sustainability and works in strategic planning. He has worked as a field coordinator with MSF in Nigeria, Chad, Sudan and Pakistan.

STEPHEN CORNISH

Board Member 2004, 2008-2009, 2010-2013

Stephen Cornish is the director of bilateral programs for CARE Canada, where he oversees implementation of their program portfolio worldwide. He spent a decade with MSF as a logistician in, among other countries, Rwanda, Sudan and Afghanistan, and as head of mission in Russia, Sierra Leone, Georgia and Peru. Stephen holds a master’s degree in Global Risk and Crisis Management from La Sorbonne.

MALCOLM BURROWS

Board Member 2010-2011

Malcolm Burrows is head of philantropic advisory services at Scotia Private Client Group. He worked as a fundraiser for health and educational charities for 13 years in Toronto before joining Scotiabank in 2004. He is a well-known writer and speaker on charitable sector issues and a member of the Technical Issues Working Group of the Canada Revenue Agency’s Charities Directorate.

JONI GUPTILL

Board Member 2006-2009, Vice president 2007-2009, President 2009-2011

Joni Guptill is a family physician who works in rural and urban practices in Nova Scotia and New Brunswick. She has been involved with MSF since 1990 in a variety of capacities, including field missions in Turkey, Somalia, China, Syria/Iraq, and South Sudan and as Regional Association Coordinator in Atlantic Canada. She served as Vice President and President of MSF Canada between 2008 and 2011, and is now in her sixth year on the Board of Directors.

JENNIFER WETERINGS

Board Member 2007-2010, 2010-2013

Jennifer Weterings holds an MBA with a financial and project management background. She joined MSF in 2002, spending the better part of three years in the field with missions in Congo-Brazzaville, DRC and Burundi. Since joining the board in 2007 she has made project visits to Haiti and the Russian Federation.  Jennifer works as a manager with Vancouver Coastal Health and is responsible for a variety of direct and contracted services within the Aboriginal and Addictions portfolio, including such programs as Sheway, Clinical Housing Teams, and the Aboriginal Wellness Program.  

JIM LANE

Board Member 2007-2011

James is a commercial litigation lawyer practicing in Toronto. He has been involved as an MSF volunteer in Canada beginning in 1990 and served as the first General Director when the Toronto office was opened.

DAVID PONKA

Board Member 2010-2011

David Ponka is an Assistant Professor in Family Medicine at the University of Ottawa where he chairs the Global Health committee as well as runs the fellowship in marginalized population health. He first became involved with MSF in 2006 during a mission to Chad-Sudan.


RICHARD ZEREIK

Board Member 2010-2013

Richard Zereik has worked with MSF for over a decade as Project Coordinator, Head of Mission, member of an operational cell in two Operational Centers and in MSF Canada's Toronto office. He has also served as MSF’s Regional Coordinator for the Quebec region and as Chargé de mission based out of the Montreal office. Richard has worked with MSF in Armenia, Sierra Leone, Ivory Coast, Darfur, DRC, Uganda and Western Kenya. He holds a M.Ed. in counseling psychology.
